History

David Titlebaum began his career in 1991 working for Robert Weissman the co- founder of Robert Allen/Ametex Fabrics. His primary responsibilities included overseeing the growth of the Retail and Jobber segments for the Ametex division. Working closely with the Robert Allen senior management and the residential sales force, David grew this business by 60%. In addition, David was responsible for working with the Robert Allen design team ensuring Ametex was creating decorative product conducive with the Robert Allen brand and image.

In 1997, David became the Director of Portfolio Textiles, the converting division of Kravet Fabrics, one of the largest decorative jobbers in the industry. Reporting to Owner Cary Kravet, David’s mission was to turn Portfolio from a small niche player into a major supplier to the residential furniture manufacturing trade while maintaining the company’s innovative and high-end image. David successfully grew the Portfolio business by 50% during his tenure.

In 1999, David joined the industry leader Richloom Fabrics reporting to Jim Richman to oversee their furniture division, the largest division of the company. In this role, David was responsible for all sales, merchandising, and marketing to the Furniture trade. For 15 years David remained in this position and was a key Merchandising Executive assisting in setting up Richloom’s Shanghai operation as the furniture industry began transitioning to China. David left Richloom in October of 2014 and has recently made the decision to launch Radiate Textiles. Having the unique background and understanding of both the decorative and commercial segments of the home furnishing industry provides David with the perfect qualifications to make Radiate Textiles a successful entity for decades to come.
